TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THOMAS L. WEBER FOR COVERAGE OF PLANNING COMMISSION AND OTHER SERVICES THAT MAY BE NEEDED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 2015 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015.

WHEREAS, the City Attorney after review of the functions of the office has deemed it in the best interest of the City to contract to provide legal services for Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Attorney to enter into a Personal Services Contract with Thomas L. Weber for the period beginning January 1, 2015 and ending December 31, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission is a necessary function of our City government, and it is deemed appropriate to proceed to effect continuity in said services for Planning Commission, and all for the public peace, property, health safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Personal Services Contract with Thomas L. Weber for legal services for Planning Commission and other services that may be needed by the City Attorney, said contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500) was set aside in the 2015 appropriations to Account 101.181.5115, City Attorney, Contract Labor, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
