TO ESTABLISH THE RATES OF PAY AND BENEFITS FOR SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, JANUARY 1, 1998 - DECEMBER 31, 2000; TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 89-95; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, City Administrative Designees have determined the pay and benefit package for the supervisory personnel of the City of Gahanna, and the Mayor has made recommendation to this Council; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to approve a pay and benefit package for unclassified personnel at the earliest possible date for employee morale, continued service to the community, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That where not in conflict with the Charter, Ordinances, or lawfully promulgated rules and regulations of the City of Gahanna, the Supervisory Salary Ordinance for full-time supervisory personnel of the City of Gahanna, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the pay and benefits of this ordinance shall be retroactive to January 1, 1998.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 89-95, passed June 27, 1995, and any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
