WHEREAS, currently the City is out of contract for the maintenance and service of our phone system; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant City Administrator has recommended that we proceed with AT&T by renewing our contract with them for a 3 year period; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance as soon as possible for no interruption of service, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with AT&T, 150 E. Gay Street, Columbus, OH 43215, to renew our centrex service contract for the City phone system; Contract attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS ($6,765) has been set aside in the 2012 appropriations to Account No. 101.348.5251, Information Technology, Maintenance.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
