TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO MEMBER INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL PURCHASING PARTNERS

WHEREAS, by ORD-0163-2009 we entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with National Purchasing Partners for the purpose of creating a new national group purchasing program; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Director of Parks & Recreation to enter into a playground equipment master price agreement and we first need to enter into a Member Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement; and
WHEREAS, entering into this Agreement will allow the City to serve as a lead contracting agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Member Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with NATIONAL PURCHASING PARTNERS, 1100 Olive Way, Suite 1020, Seattle, WA 98101, said agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
