TO COMMIT UP TO $625,000 OVER 3 YEARS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A YMCA FACILITY IN GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the City purchased land for a YMCA facility in Gahanna and is preparing to enter into lease for the use of that land; and
WHEREAS, the YMCA has requested an additional commitment of funds for the building of the YMCA facility; and
WHEREAS, the Administration is in support of this additional commitment of funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funds up to a total of $625,000 are hereby committed for development of the YMCA facility in Gahanna, said funds to be used as outlined in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That this monetary commitment shall be made over a 3 year period beginning in 2002.
Section 3. That no appropriation of funds, or payment of any funds committed to by this ordinance, shall be made until such time as a lease agreement with the YMCA has been negotiated and signed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
