TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FERGUSON WATERWORKS, FOR THE PURCHASE OF AMERICAN DARLING FIRE HYDRANTS.

WHEREAS, bids were opened February 20, 2008 for the purchase of fire hydrants, and the lowest, most responsive, and responsible, bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with FERGUSON WATERWORKS, 3845 Groveport Road, Columbus, Ohio 43207, for purchase of American Darling fire hydrants at a cost of $1,439 each; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THIRTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($32,000) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 652.351.5510, WSCI, Minor Capital.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
