TO ACCEPT A CONTRIBUTION BY ST. MATTHEW THE APOSTLE CHURCH TOWARD THE WIDENING OF HAVENS CORNERS ROAD

WHEREAS, the Havens Corners Road and Helmbright Drive intersection has needed improvement for many years; and
WHEREAS, St. Matthew the Apostle Church agreed to pay a portion of these improvements to help alleviate traffic congestion at peak church times; and
WHEREAS, the church has paid this fee and it must be accepted as a non statutory fee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That we hereby accept the contribution of $28,875 from St. Matthew the Apostle Church to be applied to the widening of Havens Corners Road and Helmbright Drive.
Section 2. That acceptance of this contribution does not serve as a precedent for future negotiations and transactions of a like or similar nature.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
