TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH BROAD & JAMES TOWING TO PROVIDE TOWING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR 2009.

WHEREAS, the City needs to have towing service for impounded cars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a response time of not more than 30 minutes; and
WHEREAS, the Police Chief has recommended that we continue to use Broad & James Towing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into Agreement with BROAD & JAMES TOWING, 3288 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213, for towing services for the City of Gahanna; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding will be set aside in the 2009 Appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
