TO AMEND SECTION 1131.02, APPLICATION; FEE, OF CHAPTER 1131, VARIANCES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, an increase in the number of amended plans has caused the review of this section of code; and
WHEREAS, no fee is currently charged and the City does incur some expense for an amended application; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission has reviewed, initiated changes, and recommended said changes to City Council; and
WHEREAS, Council held Public Hearing on April 00, 1998, pursuant to notice and according to law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 1131.02, Application; Fee, of Chapter 1131, Variances, is hereby amended as follows:
Written application for a variance shall be made to the Zoning Officer who shall transmit such application to the Planning Commission. Each application for a variance shall be accompanied by a payment of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for single-family residential districts or one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for all other districts, which shall be applied to the cost of advertising and expense incidental to reviewing, publishing and reporting the case. All such fees shall be paid to the Zoning Officer, who shall deliver the same to the Director of Finance. THE FEE FOR AN AMENDED APPLICATION SHALL BE ONE-HALF THE COST OF THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION FEE.
Section 2. That existing Section 1131.02, Application; Fee, of Chapter 1131, Variances, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
