WHEREAS, ORD-0105-2008 set up the Reimbursement Agreement with ODOT for the Hamilton/Granville intersection project; and
 
WHEREAS, the City proposed additional modifications for pedestrian enhancements because of the construction of Clark Hall and ODOT has approved the addition of the design work for the pedestrian enhancements as 90% reimbursable through safety funding being received by the project; and  
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this work so that the project can stay on schedule to be completed next summer before school starts, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into modified Agreement with  the OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Central Office, 1980 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223, for reimbursement of costs associated with the additional design work for the pedestrian enhancements for the Hamilton/Granville Intersection project; to be reimbursed 90% of the cost; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A.
 
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
