WHEREAS, with the advent of the opening of Creekside Park there is an opportunity for an exiting year of programs for the residents of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, several activities have been planned for the summer including Concerts on the Creek, Classics on the Creek, Urban Explorers, Gone Fishing and Herb Education; and
WHEREAS, in addition the park will host many special events including Herb Day, Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, Harvest Day, Creepside and others; and
WHEREAS, now that opening day is upon us and the schedule can be finalized funding is needed to complete these activities scheduled;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,0000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to the following accounts:
101.432.5421 Recreation, Program Services $40,484
101.432.5111 Recreation, Leaders 8,000
101.432.5131 Recreation, PERS 1,120
101.432.5132 Recreation, Workers Comp. 280
101.432.5138 Recreation, Medicare 116
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2008, passed January 2, 2008 is hereby amended to reflect these supplemental appropriations.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
