WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to replace existing traffic light bulbs with LED lenses, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on April 27, 2001, and the lowest, most responsive bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Jess Howard, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio, for installation of LED lenses.
Section 2. That the amount of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($153,558) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Street Fund to Account No. 220.330.5541, Capital Improvement, Streets.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
