WHEREAS, the State of Ohio is raising their bid limit to TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000) on September 26, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has requested modification to Section 135.05(e)(1), Bid Opening and Acceptance of Chapter 135, Department of Public Service, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, adoption of this code is vital in order to better protect the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Gahanna.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 135.05(e)(1), Bid Opening and Acceptance, of Chapter 135, Department of Public Service, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That existing Section 135.05(e)(1), Bid Opening and Acceptance, of Chapter 135, Department of Public Service, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
