TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH EDSALL & ASSOCIATES FOR BIKEWAY PLANNING AND GRANT ASSISTANCE

WHEREAS, it is desirable to obtain competent assistance in the Bikeway Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, proposal has been received which in addition to developing a planning document will be making recommendations on Olde Ridenour Road and assistance on grant applications for bikeway projects; and
WHEREAS, letter of Scope of Services, dated June 30, 1998, from Edsall & Associates has been recommended by the Administration for Council action;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with EDSALL & ASSOCIATES, 754 Neil Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for preparation of a Bikeway Master Development Plan, in accordance with Scope of Services submitted June 30, 1998, and in accordance with City of Gahanna specifications.
Section 2. That the amount of TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($12,000)is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of The General Fund to Account No. 101.145.5443, Engineering, Park Design, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 980001, passed January 2, 1998, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental funding commitment.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law
