WHEREAS, as a result of the technology audit performed by the State of Ohio last year funds were appropriated for development of a Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery plan with the Technology Department to recommend a consultant at a later date; and
 
WHEREAS, after careful review by the Technology Department team the Director of Technology has recommended we proceed with Assurity River Group to develop the plan; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to have this plan in place at the earliest possible date and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Master Consulting Agreement with ASSURITY RIVER GROUP, INC., 4500 Park Glen Road, Suite 120, Minneapolis, MN  55416, to develop a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan for the City of Gahanna; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That funding in the amount of SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($75,000) was set aside in the 2011 Appropriations to Account No. 101.348.5249, Information Technology, Contract Service, to cover the herein costs.
 
Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
