TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PHASE I OF A THREE (3) PHASE CONTRACT WITH THE STONEHENGE COMPANY TO REFINE THE DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR CREEKSIDE; TO WAIVE SECOND READING AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, agreement has been received and recommended by the Director of Development; and
WHEREAS, this agreement is only for Phase I of the work not to exceed $9000; and
WHEREAS, the balance of the two remaining phases will not exceed $26,000 and a separate contract will be executed for the remaining phases of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Phase I of a three (3) phase contract with THE STONEHENGE COMPANY, 41 NORTH HIGH STREET, NEW ALBANY, OHIO 43054, to refine the design and the architectural drawings for the Creekside Plan, for Phase I, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($9,000) is available in the 2003 appropriations in Account Number 101.343.5253, Planning, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That second reading of this legislation is hereby waived.
Section 4. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
