TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN STRUCTUREPOINT INC., FOR STUDY AND ALTERNATIVES FOR THE BIG WALNUT TRAIL SECTION 8 UNDER I-270.

WHEREAS, before work can begin on the Big Walnut Trail Section 8 a study is needed and alternatives proposed as to how the trail will go under I-270; and
WHEREAS, American Structurepoint has submitted a proposal and the City Engineer has recommended we proceed with them for the necessary work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with AMERICAN STRUCTUREPOINT INC., 2550 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio 43231, for the Big Walnut Trail Section 8 study of alternatives for the trail under I-270; proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED ELEVEN DOLLARS ($10,711) was appropriated in the 2011 Appropriations to Account No. 327.431.5596, Parks Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and thirty days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
