WHEREAS, ORD-0008-2003, passed February 3, 2003, provides for compensation and benefits for the unclassified personnel of the City; and
 
WHEREAS, a mistake was made in the calculation of the salary of the Clerk to the Director of Public Safety by using the wrong salary base to calculate the 2003 salary; and
 
WHEREAS, the correct money was appropriated in the 2003 appropriations so no additional funds are needed; and
 
WHREAS, in order to correct this mistake as quickly as possible in order to effectuate this raise for this one individual, all for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare:
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That Article II, Pay Ranges, of ORD-0008-2003, passed February 3, 2003, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A, effective January 1, 2003 and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That existing Article II, Pay Ranges, of ORD-0008-2003 is repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
 
Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
