TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - Risk Insurance Fund (9010)
BODY
WHEREAS, the City has established a Risk Insurance Fund (9010) to centralize the accounting for property and liability insurance proceeds, payments, and expenses; and
WHEREAS, the City recently received revenue in the amount of $122,288.13 from the insurance proceeds resulting from damages to City property; and
WHEREAS, damages to City property include streetlights, street signs, utility poles, police cruisers, fire hydrants, and fences.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of one hundred twenty-two thousand two hundred eighty-eight dollars and thirteen cents ($122,288.13) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Risk Insurance Fund (9010) as follows:
901.06.250.5230 - Risk Insurance Claims & Judgments: $122,288.13
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
