TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH RAYMOND J MULARSKI FOR PROSECUTION OF CERTAIN CASES RESULTING FROM GAHANNA MAYOR'S COURT AND MAYOR'S DOWNTOWN CASES.

WHEREAS, the contract of the City Prosecutor expires on December 31, 1998 and it is the recommendation of the City Attorney to renew said contract; and
WHEREAS, Mayor's Court is a necessary function of our City Government, and it is deemed appropriate to proceed at the earliest possible date to effect continuity in said prosecution of Mayor's Court cases;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE OCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract of City Prosecutor with Raymond J. Mularski for prosecution of certain cases in Gahanna Mayor's Court and downtown, said contract attached to this legislation as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
