TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH AMERICOAT FOR SEALING AND STRIPING OF THE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX PARKING LOTS; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Complex parking lots have not been sealed or striped for several years; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to finish this project before the winter season, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with AmeriCoat, 875 North 21st Street, Columbus, Ohio 43219, for sealing and striping of the Municipal Complex parking lots, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY TWO DOLLARS ($5,982) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations in Account No. 101.141.45511, Capital Lands & Buildings, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
