TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE EASEMENT FOR AEP FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE ON CITY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1155 EAST JOHNSTOWN ROAD; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, American Electric Power has requested an easement through City property at 1155 East Johnstown Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has asked that we move forward to execute this easement which will provide electric service to the YMCA; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to move forward as quickly as possible for this work to be completed, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute AEP Easement & Right of Way, to allow for electric service on City property at 1155 East Johnstown Road.
Section 2. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
