WHEREAS, ORD-153-2000 authorized the Mayor to enter into contract with Franklin Consultants Inc., for design services for the temporary pump station, Improvement No. 761; and

 

WHEREAS, said pump station is no longer required since the necessary easement was obtained but the City needs to pay consultant for plans and EPA permit; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this payment to the consultant all for the public peace, health, safety and welfare:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  To authorize the payment of $4, 437 to Franklin Consultants, Inc. for cost overruns for design and EPA permit for the Temporary Pump Station, Improvement No. 761. 

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($4,437) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.349.5821, Capital Projects, Development Eastgate TIF, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-1-2001, passed January 2, 2001 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
