TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO SET FORTH THE TERMS OF REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE HAMILTON/GRANVILLE INTERSECTION PROJECT; IMPROVEMENT NO. 883; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, to begin design work on the Hamilton/Granville Intersection the City must enter into Reimbursement Agreement with ODOT; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project as soon as possible for safe, efficient traffic flow through the intersection and for the safety of Gahanna residents, and all for the preservation of the public, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Central Office, 1980 West Board Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223, for reimbursement of costs associated with the consulting work for design and right of way services for the Hamilton/Granville Intersection project; to be reimbursed 90% of the cost; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
