TO ACCEPT STORM WATER SEWER EASEMENT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NEAR TECH CENTER DRIVE FROM MERITEX PROPERTIES, LLC; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna has received a storm water sewer easement for 0.016 acres from Meritex Properties, and the City needs to accept it; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined the value of the easement to be $1,400; and
WHEREAS, the easement was recorded at the Franklin County Recorder's office on August 22, 2008; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the acceptance of this easement, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby accepts this easement for 0.016 acres in the area of Tech Center Drive, from Meritex Properties, LLC; said easement attached as EXHIBIT A and EXHIBIT B, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
