TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., FOR THE EAST GATE INDUSTRIAL PARK INSPECTIONS; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $30,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

Body 

WHEREAS, letter proposal has been received and has been recommended by the Director of Public Service and the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that construction work on this important industrial project meets all specifications required; all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., 170 MILL STREET, GAHANNA, OHIO 43230, for TIF Inspection Services for the East Gate Industrial Park (ST 743 San 742), in accordance with Letter Proposal, dated February 1, 2000 and City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.349.5821, CAPITAL PROJECTS, DEVELOPMENT, TIF ACCOUNT, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
