RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR GAHANNA-JEFFERSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT 7.91 FACILITY/OPERATING LEVY
Body
WHEREAS, the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools District provides education and training to the youth of our community; and
WHEREAS, quality services such as those provided by the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools District are vital to our community's well being and future;
WHEREAS, property funding is necessary to provide a quality education for young people who are our future workers, taxpayers, homeowners, and community and business leaders; and
WHEREAS, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools District needs public financial support to continue to provide quality services and education;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration support the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools District 7.91 mill levy for current operating expenses and facility improvements to meet the fiscal needs of its centers and students and urge all residents of the school district to vote "Yes" to this issue at the polls in the May 5, 1998 election.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
