TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION (OPWC) GRANT FUNDS FOR HAMILTON ROAD CENTRAL PROJECT ST 785.
Body
WHEREAS, this project will rebuild Hamilton Road from the bridge over Rocky Fork to Johnstown Road and widen it to five lanes; and
WHEREAS, the project is eligible for an OPWC grant for the local share of the construction cost; and
WHEREAS, if the grant is awarded, the City of Gahanna share of the local match could be reduced significantly;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to the Ohio Public Works Commission for funding for the Hamilton Road Central Project ST 785.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
