TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH EVANS MECHWART HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., FOR THE LAKES AT HARRISON POND WATERSHED STUDY; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for The Lakes at Harrison Pond Watershed Study, dated January 19, 2001, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that this watershed study may be completed in a timely fashion, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with EVANS MECHWART HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., 170 Mill Street, Gahanna, OH  43230, for The Lakes at Harrison Pond Watershed Study, in accordance with proposal letter, dated January 19, 2001, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($9,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to 101.991.5934, Transfer to Stormwater.

 

Section 3.  That NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($9,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Stormwater Management Fund to Account No. 230.350.5447, Storm Sewer Miscellaneous, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 4.  That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 5.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
