TO HONOR AND COMMEND KAREN EYLON FOR SERVICE AS DIRECTOR OF THE GAHANNA CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU

WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON became the first Director of the Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau over ten years ago and has served as the only Director of the CVB; and
WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON has been a good will ambassador for the City of Gahanna and helped put Gahanna on the map; and
WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON developed the first "Visit Gahanna" web site, published an on line visitors guide, and submitted Gahanna events to local and national web sites; and
WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON set up and organized the first bus tour of the Gahanna Herb Education Center which has become extremely popular bringing many people to Gahanna, and developed the Herbal Trail Campaign; and
WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON worked tirelessly to make the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival and Holiday Lights Parade a success bringing thousands of people to Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, KAREN EYLON will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her and respect the work she has done to help put Gahanna on the map;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Gahanna City Council along with the citizens of Gahanna do hereby honor and commend KAREN EYLON for her time as Director of the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau and for the love and dedication she has shown helping to make Gahanna the stellar community that it is, and wishes her well in all future endeavors.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
