TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SERVPRO OF N.E. COLUMBUS FOR CLEANING OF DUCT WORK IN THE CITY OF GAHANNA MUNICIPAL COMPLEX.

WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 7, 2002, and the lowest, most responsive, and responsible, bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award, and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with SERVPRO OF N.E. COLUMBUS, 7440 Pinque Drive, Worthington, Ohio 43085, for cleaning of the air ducts in the Municipal Complex, in accordance with bid and City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($17,400) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 101.141.5453, Lands & Buildings, Cleaning Contract, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
