TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH HARWARD CLEANERS FOR DRY CLEANING SERVICE FOR POLICE UNIFORMS FOR 2007.

WHEREAS, Section 21.7, Dry Cleaning of Article 21, Equipment and Allowance, of the Fraternal Order of Police Contract states that the City will furnish dry cleaning for uniforms of full time police officers; and
WHEREAS, Section 21.7 further states that the City shall designate the dry cleaning service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with HARWARD CLEANERS, 171 Granville Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 for dry cleaning service for police uniforms for 2007, at $1,360 a month; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding will be set aside in the 2007 Appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
