TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A TWO YEAR CONTRACT WITH PEN-LOR ENTERPRISES, INC., FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CITY FUEL FACILITY, 781 SCIENCE BOULEVARD; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City currently contracts with Pen-Lor Enterprises for the operation and maintenance of our fuel facility; and
WHEREAS, after discussion with the Director of Finance the Director of Public Service has recommended that we continue with Pen-Lor, that they are the right vendor for our needs; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance before the current contract expires, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a two year contract with PEN-LOR ENTERPRISES, INC., 5866 County Road 201, Millersburg, Ohio 44654, for operation and maintenance of the City fuel facility, located at 781 Science Boulevard; contract attached as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
