TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ROUSH HONDA FOR TWO VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of two vehicles to be used by undercover officers; and

WHEREAS, proposal has been obtained from Roush Honda and the Chief of Police has recommended we proceed with them;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Lease Agreement with ROUSH HONDA, 104 West Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081, for the lease of two vehicles, total $700 per month, for the Police Department as spelled out in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

Section 2.  That $8,400 will be set aside in the 2007 Appropriations to Account No. 101.211.5448, Police Special Investigations, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
