ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 0120-2019 ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2020 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2020 adopted on December 16, 2019; WAIVING SECOND READING; AND DECLARING IT AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Ordinance 0120-2019 establishes the salaries for personnel of the City of Gahanna for the period of January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Administration is recommending a number of modifications to Ordinance 0120-2019; and,

 

WHEREAS, a summary of those changes are outlined in the attached report and reflected in the attached; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That Ordinance 0120-2019, ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2020 THROUGH DECEMBER 31,2020, adopted on December 16, 2019, is hereby amended as described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

 

Section 2. That the second reading is hereby waived.

 

Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
