WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is planning on widening the portion of Morse Road from the signal at Trellis Lane eastward to the portion already widened by the roundabout at US62; and
 
WHEREAS, this project is on our capital improvements plan with $334,000 designated in permissive tax funds as a match for the project; and
 
WHEREAS, Ordinance ORD-0119-2013 authorized an agreement with Columbus for an Ohio Public Works Commission grant which was not awarded.
 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Cooperative Agreement between the City of Columbus, 50 W. Gay Street, 5th Floor, Columbus OH 43215, and the City of Gahanna for the widening of a portion of Morse Road; said Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THREE HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($334,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund, to Account Number 231.330.5596, Permissive Tax Fund Capital Projects/Improvements.
 
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
 
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor
