TITLE
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY OF GAHANNA'S INTENT TO PARTICIPATE FINANCIALLY IN THE WYNNE RIDGE COURT BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT (ODOT PROJECT NO. 116417) AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PARTICIPATORY AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) have been working jointly on plans for a bridge replacement project on Wynne Ridge Court over Beem Ditch; and
WHEREAS, the bridge replacement project is designated as ODOT Project No. 116417 and is scheduled for letting on May 8, 2025; and
WHEREAS, ODOT has requested that the City of Gahanna pass final legislation pledging the City's financial commitment to the project as part of the participatory agreement; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the City's local share for the project is $100,580.00, which has been included in the adopted 2025 capital budget to align with ODOT's planned construction schedule; and
WHEREAS, ODOT District 6 has requested that this legislation be returned to their office no later than April 11, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has recommended that City Council authorize the Mayor to enter into a participatory agreement with ODOT to formalize the City's financial commitment to the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. The City Council hereby declares the City of Gahanna's intent to participate financially in the Wynne Ridge Court Bridge Replacement Project (ODOT Project No. 116417) and commits to providing the local share in the amount of $100,580.00 as included in the adopted 2025 capital budget; Final Resolution terms set forth in EXHIBIT A and Amendment One to Agreement Number 39947 terms set forth in EXHIBIT B, attached hereto and incorporated herein.
