TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH NELSON AUTO GROUP, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE MID-SIZE SIX PASSENGER CARS

WHEREAS, bids were received on April 10, 1998, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Interim Director of Public Service, to purchase three mid-size six passenger cars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Acting Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with NELSON AUTO GROUP, 15777 WATKINS ROAD, MARYSVILLE, OHIO 43040, for the purchase of three mid-size six passenger cars, in accordance with bid submitted April 10, 1998, and in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Sixty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars ($63,984) was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 101.211.5512, Capital Projects/Equipment Police to cover the herein costs; said amount includes trade-in of $1,500.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
