TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GAHANNA AND CHARLES W. HENDERSON FOR GAHANNA ANIMAL CONTROL FOR 2009, 2010 AND 2011.

WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Administration that it is desirable to continue to handle animal control in the City with Charles W. Henderson; and
WHEREAS, the existing contract with Charles W. Henderson will expire on December 31, 2008; and
WHEREAS, a 4% increase is proposed for 2009, with a 3% increase for both 2010 and 2011 and a $100 flat fee if a court appearance is required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Personal Services Contract between the City of Gahanna, Ohio and CHARLES W. HENDERSON, 6267 Blacks Road N.W., Pataskala, Ohio 43062, said contract attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND ONE DOLLARS ($47,401) will be set aside in the 2009 Appropriations to Account No. 101.213.5115, Contract Labor, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
