WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 1133.08 application has been made for Homewood by J.C. Hanks to zone 38.8+/- acres recently annexed, as SF-3 ROD, Single Family Residential Overlay District; North side of Taylor Road immediately east of Rice Avenue; and

 

WHEREAS, Planning Commission held Public Hearing on June 12, 2002 and

recommended this request for zoning; and

 

WHEREAS, City Council held Public Hearing on August 5, 2002, in regular meeting, said meeting held pursuant to notice and according to law;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Official Zoning Map, adopted by Ordinance No. 198-96, passed on November 19, 1996, as amended, is hereby amended by zoning 38.8+/- acres, to SF-3 ROD, Single Family Residential Overlay District, said acreage more particularly described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto.

 

Section 2.  That the text and site plan as required by Section 1152.01.(1)(2), Procedures, of Chapter 1152, Overlay Districts, is attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT B.

 

Section 3.  That the public areas dedication required under Section 1109.08 shall be in the form of park land dedication and shall follow the procedure outlined in Section 1109.08(h)(i) & (j) of the Codified Ordinances.

 

Section 4.  That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to amend the recertify the Official Zoning Map of the City of Gahanna, Ohio, to reflect the zoning contained in and approved by this ordinance.

 

Section 5.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
