TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Water Capital Fund for Havens Corners Waterline Replacement
BODY
WHEREAS, the Council has authorized the Mayor and Director of Engineering to award and enter into contract with Dirt Dawg Excavating LLC per the terms outlined in ORD-0018-2023; and
WHEREAS, current appropriations consisting of $933,322 for FY 2023 are not enough to cover the full anticipated amount for the Havens Corners Waterline Replacement (ST-1072) construction work; and
WHEREAS, supplemental appropriations of $346,508 are needed for the Water Capital Fund in FY 2023 in order to cover the 10 percent contingency for unforeseen construction costs and fulfill the terms outlined in ORD-0018-2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of three hundred forty-six thousand five hundred eight dollars ($346,508) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Water Capital Fund Fund to account 652.11.000.5505.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
