TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SUSTAINING CONTRACT WITH BURNS, BERTSCH & HARRIS, INC., FOR PLANNING SERVICES

WHEREAS, the DIrector of Development has requested a sustaining contract with BUrns, Bertsch & Harris, Inc., which would include consultations, conceptual plans and other projects as needed by the department; and
WHEREAS, this contract would not exceed a total of $7,000 in a calendar year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Sustaining Contract with Burns, Bertsch & Harris, Inc. at an hourly rate of $75, not to exceed $600 in one day, and not to exceed a total of $7,000 for this contract, pursuant to agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) has been set aside to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development, Planning, in the 1999 Appropriations to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
