TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH W.E. STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING FOR THE EAST JOHNSTOWN ROAD SANITARY SEWER MAIN PROJECT; AND  TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $7,400.

WHEREAS, the East Johnstown Road area of the City is without sanitary sewer; and

 

WHEREAS, preliminary engineering services are needed to pin down what needs to take place to resolve the problems in the area; and

 

WHEREAS, the Water Resources Engineer has recommended we proceed with W.E. Stilson Consulting Group;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with W.E. STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 355 East Campus View Blvd., Suite 250, Columbus, Ohio 43235, for preliminary engineering for the East Johnstown Road sanitary sewer main project; proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000) was set aside in the 2006 Appropriations in the S.S.C.I.  Fund to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That funding in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,400) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the S.S.C.I. Fund to Account No. 662.361.5596, Miscellaneous Sewer  Improvement, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 4.  That ORD-0001-2006, passed January 2, 2006, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 5.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
