TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH LTC CLUB OPERATIONS CITY, INC., FOR RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF GAHANNA SWIM CLUB MEMBERSHIP FOR THE YEAR 2013; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City would like to offer members of Life Time Fitness an opportunity to have rights and privileges at the Gahanna Swim Club as an additional amenity to their Life Time Fitness Center Members; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation is recommending we proceed with an agreement for the 2013 season; and
WHEREAS, in return for these membership privileges LTC Club Operations City, Inc., will pay the City $30,000 for the 2013 season to be paid in monthly installments; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this ordinance since the Gahanna Swim Club opens May 25, 2013 for the season, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Gahanna Swimming Pool Agreement with LTC CLUB OPERATIONS CITY, INC., 2902 Corporate Place, Chanhassen, MN 55317, for use of the Gahanna Swim Club for 2013; said agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
