SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Permissive Tax Fund Capital Projects/Improvements

WHEREAS, the City recently obtained grant funding to complete resurfacing along sections of US 62 and Havens Corners Road; and
WHEREAS, the grant was obtained from the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) through cooperative efforts of both Franklin County and the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, this provides 80% grant funding with a required 20% local match; and
WHEREAS, the section of US 62 will be funded through local funds identified as part of the 2014 Street Program while the section of Havens Corners Road is eligible for permissive tax use; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Regional Resurfacing Program, crosswalks within the section of Havens Corners Road are required to be upgraded to comply with ADA accessibility standards and this is also eligible for permissive tax fund use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of NINETY SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($96,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the County Permissive Fund to Account No. 231.330.5596, Permissive Tax Fund Capital Projects/Improvements.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
