SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION, MORSE ROAD, DEPOSIT WITH OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the reconstruction and improvement to Morse Road will be shared by Gahanna, Franklin County, and the City of Columbus, with 80% of the project in federal funding and 20%; and

 

WHEREAS, credit for building the Morse/Hamilton Intersection is given for the local match,whereby City of Gahanna paid the Columbus portion of that project, with Columbus deferring until the federal funds are in place; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable to comply with the request by Ohio Department of Transportation with the agreed upon deposits in order that this work proceed in one season of construction work;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;

 

Section 1.  That the amount of FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-TWO DOLLARS ($592,892) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.145.5541, STREETS, for the purpose making deposits to Ohio Department of Transportation for Morse Road improvements.

 

Section 2.  That Ordinance No. 1-99, passed January 2, 199

 9 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
