TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE.

Body

WHEREAS, bids were opened on September 11, 1998, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible, and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed with this purchase at the earliest possible date;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor authorized to enter into contract with JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43003, for street light maintenance in accordance with bid and City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That funding was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 224.211.5215, Street Lighting Standards, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
