A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GAHANNA TO FILE AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF OHIO, DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT, TO SUPPORT AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER THE OHIO JOB READY SITES PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, Department of Development provides financial assistance to local governments for the purpose of filling statewide gaps in Ohio's site offerings market; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna desires to participate by receiving financial assistance for the Central Park project outside of the Clean Ohio boundaries under the Ohio Job Ready Sites Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna has the authority to apply for financial assistance and to administer the amounts received from the State of Ohio, Department of Development, through its Ohio Job Ready Sites Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna must direct and authorize the Site Improvement Project Manager to act in connection with the application and to provide such additional information as may be required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this council authorizes the Central Ohio CIC to act as the lead applicant, to file an application to participate in the State of Ohio, Department of Development's, Ohio Job Ready Sites Program, and provide all information and documentation required in the application for submission.
Section 2. That the City of Gahanna hereby approves filing an application for financial assistance under the Ohio Job Ready Sites Program.
Section 3. That the City of Gahanna hereby understands and agrees that participation in the program will require compliance with program guidelines and assurances.
Section 4. That the City of Gahanna hereby commits itself to provide the required local match investment as described in the application.
Section 5. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
