TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH DOVE BUILDING SERVICES FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES; TO REPEAL ORD-0169-2014; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, AA Janitorial withdrew their bid on December 19, 2014, before the contract term started since they determined that they could not perform the full scope of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service is recommending that we proceed with the next lowest bidder, Dove Building Services; and
WHEREAS, ORD-0169-2014 must be repealed so that the Mayor can enter into this new Contract; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this immediately as Dove Building Services had to start this job unexpectedly, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Dove Building Services, Inc., 1691 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, OH 43211 for janitorial services, said Contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. That ORD-0169-2014 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FORTY FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($44,568) was set aside in the 2015 Appropriations as follows:
