WHEREAS, the City entered into Contract with the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District for storm water management plan and other services in 2003, and wishes to continue these services; and

 

WHEREAS, letter proposal has been received from Franklin Soil and Water for continuing these services, and the Director of Public Service has recommended that we proceed with them; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the legislation as the contract is set to become effective with the date of the last signature and the current contract expired December 31, 2007, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT for the EPA storm water management plan and other services; said services to be in accordance with Working Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That funding for this contract has been set aside in Account No. 631.350.5470, Regulatory Requirements.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is considered emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
